The Swamp Wars: Florida’s GOP Civil War
They’re Not Mad at the Governor—They’re Mad You’re Paying Attention
The War You’re Not Supposed to See
There’s a war brewing in Florida, it has been for some time. A civil war within the Republican Party that is not happening on the surface. It’s not a flashy spectacle. It’s not in the media headlines of pay for play yellow journalist or being carried out in primetime political debates. This is a quiet war, one waged in the trenches of Florida’s legislature, and it’s one the people of Florida must win. The battle lines have been drawn, and the question is simple: Who does the Republican Party really represent?
There’s a fight underway, not between Governor Ron DeSantis and his opponents though these opponents would like you to believe it. Instead it’s between the people of Florida and the political establishment, conservatives against the establishment—an establishment that has become so entrenched in its power that it thinks it can ignore the will of the people without consequence. And the swamp—the bureaucracy, the lobbyists, and the RINOs—are starting to show their teeth, because they have an unrealistic view of Floridians. They’re rallying against DeSantis, against the grassroots, and against the very heart of the conservative movement. They aren’t just angry at DeSantis for his leadership. No, they are angry because he’s still fighting for you. They see the writing on the wall. He’s term-limited, and in their minds, they’ve got the green light to bring down the people’s champion as if it all ends with him. As if his no longer being governor will stop what he and the conservatives of Florida have started.
Here’s the thing they don’t realize: they aren’t up against DeSantis—they’re up against you.
The Fight Against the People
The political class isn’t angry because Ron DeSantis is texting voters. They’re angry because it’s working. Because you’re paying attention. Because you know that what they fear most isn’t DeSantis—it’s an informed electorate with receipts.
The latest condo legislation—HB 913—is a perfect example of what we’re up against. Developers, the corporate-backed elites, and their cronies in the legislature are doing what they do best: pushing through bills that benefit them at the expense of Floridians. It’s a sideshow designed to distract you from the reality: the political class is not fighting for the people. They’re fighting for the lobbyists. They’re fighting for the corporate interests that line their pockets and fuel their campaigns.
But people like Mike Caruso, a true grassroots conservative, stood up. He didn’t back down. Caruso and others like him are fighting the swamp, not because they want to fight the governor or the party, but because they want to fight for Floridians. He didn’t walk out on the people of Florida. He walked out on the establishment.
And this isn’t just about condos. It’s about Hope Florida, the grassroots program that has actually helped people—not with rhetoric, not with bureaucracy, but with results. But of course, the swamp couldn’t stand for that. They saw a program that bypassed their control, that got things done without cutting deals with lobbyists, and they set out to tear it down. They tried to create false narratives about the program, because when the people win, the swamp loses. They failed.
But let’s not stop there. Remember the immigration bill that was trying to stall immigration enforcement in Florida? It wasn’t DeSantis who was the problem. It was the RINOs and entrenched lawmakers who were working against the best interests of Floridians. DeSantis and the conservative Avengers—Caruso, Jay Collins, Blaise Ingoglia—stood up and fought back. They weren’t just defending policy; they were defending the people. Once again the swamp failed.
And now, as we near the end of this legislative session, we see the latest round of attacks on DeSantis’ text messages to the voters. Yes, the political class is now crying foul over DeSantis’ attempt to inform Floridians. Imagine this: they don’t want the people to know the truth. They want to silence you, to keep you in the dark while they make deals behind closed doors. And they’ll pay influencers, media outlets, anyone they can, to paint DeSantis’ actions as some sort of outrage. They’re going to fail again.
They fail not just because of these people fighting for you, but because of you. Here’s the truth: they are not outraged by the text messages. They’re outraged because the people are waking up. They’re afraid of you getting informed and realizing who the real enemy is.
It’s Not DeSantis They’re Fighting—It’s You
This is what it’s all about: the swamp doesn’t want you to fight back. They want you to believe their narrative—that everything’s fine, that all the political promises and lip service about conservatism are real. But those who live under the weight of their tax hikes, rising insurance premiums, and cost of living increases know better. They’ve seen the truth. And they’re fed up.
These swamp creatures, these corporate-backed elites, think that because DeSantis is term-limited, they’ve won. They think they can now advance their agenda unchecked. They think they can block real programs that actually help people, that they can lie about Hope Florida, manipulate voters, and scare the public into siding with them. They keep failing because you keep fighting. That’s the mission. Don’t stop fighting.
Because they’re wrong. The real fight has just begun. And we’re not just backing DeSantis. We’re backing the grassroots, the men and women like Caruso, Ingoglia, and Collins—the ones who put the people first. We’re backing the AG, who’s trying to enforce the law. And we’re backing the people of Florida, who are done with being lied to, misled, and used as pawns in a game they didn’t sign up for.
A Call to Action
This is the moment, Floridians and Conservatives across the country, where we stand together. It’s time to fight back—not just against the RINOs, but against the entire political establishment that has for too long used its position to line its pockets and ignore the voices of the people. The swamp has shown its face once again. It’s time for Florida to show them who really has the power.
If you’re sick and tired of the political elite pretending to represent you, of the media and influencers working to divide us and distract us, then now is the time to act. Stand with DeSantis. Stand with Caruso, Collins, Ingoglia, and the true conservatives fighting for Florida. Fight for competent governance—even if you disagree on some policies, we can all agree that the people’s interests should come first.
The session may be almost over, but the war for Florida’s future is just beginning. Fight back. Dend a message that you will no longer tolerate the swamp, the special interests, or the elites.
Now is the time to get activated, to stand up and speak out for the future of our state. Florida stands at the crossroads—the rest of the country may be sliding into chaos, but we don’t have to follow. This isn’t about Ron DeSantis, this is about doing what’s right.
Florida can lead. Competent conservative governance can lead. You can lead. And you can send a message to the swamp that you see what they’re doing.
Your State. Your Move.
This is your moment. Not just to tweet. Not just to hope.
But to fight.
➡️ Run for precinct. Call your reps. Donate to real candidates. Show up.
➡️ If you're in Florida: back the people actually governing. If you're outside it: take notes and give support. This is how you fight the swamp.
They tried to end a movement because there’s term-limied governor.
What they didn’t realize was that the movement has only just begun.
